Info Project

Our R&D team has developed a train parts washing tunnel for SNCF.
Our client had a triple problem with washing his parts of different volumes and masses:
- Have a tunnel for efficient washing
- Bringing safety to users for tunnel use
- Work with highly polluted water recycling to limit water, product and energy consumption
MONTANIER responded to the 3 issues by carrying out the following actions:
- Custom design of washing tunnels based on customer input data and the MONTANIER experience for efficient washing
- Adaptation of best safety for operators with risk analysis carried out in collaboration with APAVE
- Establishment of a waste water treatment and recycling system to save energy and consumption
In order to meet our customer's needs, we realized 2 small wash tunnels, with a side-by-side installation, in order to have a sufficient area of loading/unloading.
The construction of 2 tunnels offered several technical advantages:
- Implementation in the proposed area (20 m x 11.30 m).
- Immediately have additional surface area for loading and unloading of washing trays (50 m2 +/-)
- Allow loading/unloading in masked time during washing
- Provide preventive or curative maintenance of a tunnel by continuing washing on the second tunnel
- Ensure that the washing volume exceeds the specifications.
- Each of the 2 tunnels providing washing of a surface of Lg 5.20 m x width 3.10 m = 16.12 m2 per cycle of 3h30, i.e. 32.24 m2 per tunnel, i.e. 64.48 m2 for the 2 tunnels per station of 8h00.
- For reasons of economy, tunnels benefit from gas-heated washing water.
