Water treatment
Our customer needed to reduce his city water consumption during his daily vehicle washes. To address its problem, the Montanier company has proposed as a solution a recycling system dimensioned according to the number of wash cycles per day that allows 80-85% of the washing water to be reprocessed in order to reuse it.
To this end, an underground pre-treatment system is installed. It consists of:
– a 20m3 tank which consists solely of separating the solid phase (suspension materials) from the liquid phase by difference in density. This step involves letting the phases in contact rest and waiting for sufficient time to separate under the action of gravity. The suspended material will be deposited at the bottom of the tank.
– a hydrocarbon separator based on the density difference separation of the non-soluble pollutants contained in runoff water. The burrowing compartment allows to decant and trap suspended material > 200 μm. The coalescence system thanks to its large specific surface allows to concentrate free hydrocarbons by favoring their collision. The hydrocarbons then go back to the surface. The closure system avoids any risk of oil release.
– a lift tank with an aerobic biological reactor. Thanks to this tank, bacteria are developed. The tank also contains a pre-treated water lift.
The pre-treated water is then transported via the lifting pump at the final SKID filter. SKID consists of a rotary filter, oil de-oiler filter and a finer filter to improve the filter quality of recycled water. Once the water is filtered, it is discharged into a storage tank. Finally, the treated water contained in the buffer tank is used for washing cycles.
