The Air Force requested MONTANIER to develop specific equipment to wash military aircraft at maintenance centres. An important specificity was that there was no fixed equipment on the tarmac, no gallows or other apparent washing lance, or on the passage of aircraft to the ground. Montanier worked on the installation of retractable, high pressure terminals. Washing area is equipped with:

  • 4 buried terminals with 8 independent HP washing circuits,
  • Each buried terminal with waterproof hatch placed on the plane wash track is powered by 2 circuits.
  • Each of the 4 terminals includes 2 HP wash points for 2 users simultaneously.
  • All the terminals allow power supply at the choice of 4 washers simultaneously.
  • The 4 buried terminals each include in their eyes two HP departures with stainless steel valve and quick connection for connection of 2 HP washing hoses.
  • Each user can use a high-pressure wash lance (HP) or a low-pressure wash lance (BP) with a brush.
  • Telescopic HP washing lances with quick connections and HP washing nozzles. Adjustable length from 1.80 to 3.30 m
  • 4 telescopic BP brushing lances with quick connections and central power nylon brushes. Adjustable length from 1.80 to 3.30 m
  • Each HP washing point ensures constant pressure, at a high hot water flow rate, at 65°C by washing machine.
  • The entire installation is controlled by 4 radio control boxes each dedicated to a terminal. Programmable automation management and transmission of information to the GTC.

The military equipment washing station is complemented by the MONTANIER water treatment line in order to be able to discharge water into the natural environment by following regulatory standards.

This military vehicle washing area allows operators to use optimal ergonomics, with easy movement of the washing retractor, and easy connection of high pressure hoses.
