water treatment

Our client needed to reduce his city water consumption during his daily vehicle washes. To respond to its problem, the Montanier company proposed as a solution a recycling channel sized according to the number of washing cycles per day which allows 80-85% of the washing water to be reprocessed in order to reuse it.

To do this, an underground pre-treatment channel is installed. She is composed:

– a 20m3 sludge tank which only consists of separating the solid phase (suspended matter) from the liquid phase by difference in density. This step involves allowing the phases in contact to stand and waiting sufficient time for them to separate under the action of gravity. Suspended solids will settle to the bottom of the tank.

– a hydrocarbon separator based on the separation by density difference of insoluble pollutants contained in runoff water. The sludge compartment makes it possible to decant and trap suspended solids > at 200 μm. The coalescence system, thanks to its large specific surface, makes it possible to concentrate the free hydrocarbons by promoting their collision. The hydrocarbons then rise to the surface. The sealing system avoids any risk of releasing hydrocarbons.

– a lifting tank with an aerobic biological reactor. Thanks to this tank, bacteria are developed. The tank also contains a pretreated water lifting station.

Then, the pretreated water is transported via the lifting pump to the final filtration SKID. The SKID is made up of a rotary filter, oil separator filter and a finer filter to improve the quality of filtration of the recycled water. After the water is filtered, it is dumped into a storage tank. Finally, the treated water contained in the buffer tank is used for washing cycles.
