Project information

Our client needed to set up booths enabling them to carry out leak tests on their products in series or in development, allowing them to ensure compliance with current standards and standardized testing procedures.
Montanier provided a positive response and designed two booths enabling Schneider Electric to perform its tests in accordance with the standard and in a repeatable manner for:
- 1 booth for IP54, IP55 and NEMA4 testing
- 1 booth for IP69k testing
During this design process, Montanier studied the standards in force, and technically transcribed their strict application in the cabins.
The booth for IP54, IP55 and NEMA4 testing consists of:
– Raw water treatment
– A high-volume stainless steel water spray booth
– A rotating platform with an EST mounting trolley
– A buffer tank
– A high-flow pump
– A power electrical cabinet
– An HMI enclosure with a touchscreen
– a spray nozzle outside the cabin
The IP69K test booth consists of:
– Raw water treatment
– A stainless steel booth for spraying hot, pressurized water
– A rotating platform with an EST mounting trolley
– A hot water buffer tank at 80°C
– A 60°C hot water buffer tank for detergent
– A high-pressure pump with pressure, flow and temperature control sensors
– A power electrical cabinet
– An HMI enclosure with a touchscreen
– A detergent and disinfectant dosage
The cycle is carried out in automatic mode according to: "Test according to DIN 40 050 – Part 9"
Complete cycle, including successive "diversion" of water to the 4 nozzles at 0°, 30°, 60° and 90°.
Fixed temperature, pressure and spray duration (modifiable only by password).
Turntable operated in one direction at a fixed speed (modifiable only by password).
Extraction of vapors to the outside of the enclosure.
Operates using recycled water (recycling bin no. 1).
Security: Glass door locked.
