Our client needed a washing machine to wash buses according to the following conditions:

– Washing rate: 15 buses per hour
– The washing machine must clean the bus without damaging the mirrors
– Water consumption: less than 200 l/min
– Long-term durability

To meet his request, the Montanier company proposed the following solution:

The installation of a mobile bus wash gantry allows for washing buses while avoiding the wing mirrors to prevent any damage, with a wash cycle time of 3 to 3.5 minutes depending on the bus's length. The gantry is equipped with two vertical brushes and one horizontal brush for washing the vehicle roofs.

The wash bay is equipped with: one wash/pre-wetting ramp and one rinse ramp, each with a reduced water consumption of 75 L/min. Therefore, the total consumption of the ramps is 150 L/min. Furthermore, the wash ramps can be supplied with various water sources (municipal water, rainwater, recycled water, or well water) to drastically reduce water consumption costs.

In addition, the structure is fully hot-dip galvanized, allowing it to be installed both indoors and outdoors, and many mechanical components are made of stainless steel to guarantee its longevity and reliability.
